1. First time Membership fee is £20.00 per year for 16 yr olds & over. Under 16year olds membership is £10 – however all under 16 year olds MUST be a close relative of an over 18 year old member (This can be a social member). Membership renewals for existing and past rider members receive are £10 Social membership is available to over 18 yr olds only and is £5 per year. (Both new and renewal) If a rider leaves the club or is asked to leave for any reason this fee is non refundable.

2. Members (including social members) will be entitled to vote at any general sporting club meetings as long as they have been a member for more than 1 year AND they are over 16 years old.

3. Members can stand for a position on the club committee as long as they have been a member for 2 years or more AND are over 18 years old. After 2 years they may also apply for membership of the limited company.

4. All entry fees owed MUST be paid for before the event tales place. Any rider owing TWO entries will not be allowed to enter again until these are paid. There will be no exceptions to this rule. If you have a problem e.g. Shift work, please see the entry secretary to arrange paying in advance.

5. All riding members should attend weekly club night meetings at least once per calendar month

6. All riders are required to do work parties for the Oakham meetings and provide a marshal. This is NOT OPTIONAL. Under 18 year olds MUST be accompanied by a legal guardian (over 18) at ALL race events and at Oakham work parties. Work parties will usually be on the Saturday before the meetings and will usually start at 1 pm. On race day ALL riders will provide a marshal or helper (that is over 16 years old) who should be expecting to work/marshal all day. All workers at work parties or race events must sign the insurance form at the start of the duty. Anyone that is unable to attend a work party or provide a marshal on the day of an event MUST inform the club chairman or secretary at least 10 days in advance of the event, with a full explanation of the reason. The club committee will decide if the reason is acceptable and what alternative work duties should be undertaken instead. Anybody that misses a work party or marshalling duty WITHOUT prior permission will be subject to disciplinary action, which may include a riding ban or suspension or cancellation of membership. The rule of thumb is that any work duties missed without prior permission will have to be rectified by completing TWICE the amount of work that was missed. – e.g. miss a typical 4 hour workparty – will have to do 8 hours to catch up. Or miss a days marshalling – will have to do 2 days marshalling before being allowed to ride again!

7. Any rider or follower who causes or is involved in a dispute at AMCA meetings or at club nights could face discipline from the AMCA and the club. This could include a ban or having your licence cancelled. If you have a problem at a meeting please find the Stewards, Clerk of the Course or the Area Co-ordinator and report the problem in a calm and orderly manner. If it is a problem within the club please see a committee member This rule is important please do not take matters into your own hands  

8. It is a condition of membership that all riders act as ambassadors of the club and abide by the club and AMCA rules. There are few club rules but they are there to be abided by not broken.
